New LP (their 3rd) from this Barcelona d-beat band featuring members of Glam, among others. It seems like Totalickers have never gotten the respect of their peers in Destino Final and Invasion, perhaps because they play a slightly more polished sound than the super raw stuff that people think of when they think of Spanish crust and hardcore. Instead, Totalickers are clearly influenced by Swedish hardcore, most importantly first-LP era Totalitar (whose logo they kind of swipe for this LP) and Meanwhile. This is right up there with their influences in terms of riff quality, energy, and production, so if you like your d-beat big and rockin' this is the record for you.

Toxoplasma were one of the most influential Bands of the german Punk/HC-underground of the early 80s and their debut LP is an outstanding classic. So now herŽs an offical release of their two demo tapes from 81 and 82 on one LP! These demos have been released on some very limited singles a few year ago and i doubt that you will get them anywhere anymore so this release make sense even though these demos are some of the best stuff by TOXOPLASMA ever! ULTIMO RESORTE - La Larga Sombra Del Punk LP - £9.00
ULTIMO RESORTE were the bridge between the very first Spanish Punk Generation and the first Spanish Hardcore Wave. During their 5 years of existence (1979-1984) they only managed to record a demo, and two impossible to find records. A self-titled 7 track 7" EP and "Una Causa Sin Fondo" a 5 track 12". "La Larga Sombra Del Punk" compiles both those records plus a 16 pages 11"x11" booklet with a long interview with the band and tons of pictures and fanzine clippings.
Musically they lay in between the most aggressive parts of VICE SQUAD, DISCHARGE, ELECTRIC DEADS or even SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES. Fronted by Silvia Resorte her voice became their trademark always backed by an urgent band trying to figure out what hardcore was about and a synth player that created a cold atmosphere over most of their songs. This seminal band hailed from Barcelona and you can tell with the desperate feeling their songs have. Their lyrics have that teenage angst feel that only bands from the early 80's managed to write. Together with RIP, KANGRENA, ANTI-DOGMATIKSS, VULPESS, DESECHABLES or LARSEN this band helped putting Spain in the international punk map back in the day.

Barcelona's UNA BÈSTIA INCONTROLABLE came out of nowhere a few months ago. Within a few weeks of their existence they had recorded a promising demo of experimental noisy hardcore, played a few shows in UK and Spain and started working on their debut album. Barely 6 months later they give birth to "Observant Com el Món es destrueix". A 9 track LP integrally sang in Catalan and with a psychedelic approach to their previous bands sound (GLAM/ ATENTADO/ DESTINO FINAL / INVASION/ CROSTA amongst others). Their primative anthems of nature seeking dreams are distorted, repetitive and heavy at times. With their boots firmly stuck in hardcore based while keeping the overall sound free of any boundaries and styles. The artwork by guitarrist Guillem el Muro reflects the spirit of the album perfectly. An explosion of hardcore between day dreaming of peace and nightmares of reality.
VALSE TRISTE - Madon Luku LP - £8.00
Impressive twenty-song second full-length by this now-venerable Finnish band that has been around since 1983. Instead of treading the straight and narrow "classic Finnish hardcore" path, this is wild and chaotic experimental hardcore, charged with energy and unpredictability, and refined by the band's growth in precision, skill, and delivery. Dual vocals create a new zenith of "caustic" and "scalding" as they shout and spew over herky-jerky hardcore that seems to meet somewhere in between the bass-driven time-changing of NOMEANSNO and the swaggering, loose ram-charging of KAAOS. The lyrics (in translation from Finnish) are similarly offbeat, but deftly hide meaning in metaphor. Excellent recording and a nice gatefold.

VANDAALIT: NAMUJA LAPSILLE LP - £13.00
Vandaalit was a group of youngsters in the mid-seventies playing rock'n'roll, but hearing Leave Home by The Ramones changed everything, and soon the band changed style to rough, simple punk rock. This is their debut album from 1979, and it's also one of the rarest Ramones-influenced punk records in Finland. The Svart reissue is an exact replica of the original, with the rare 12 page booklet.

WIDOWS - Fun? LP - £12.00
One of the first English language punk rock bands in Finland, Widows put out a few 7 inches before recording their first and last album 'Fun?' on Poko Records in 1980. Side A features studio material while the flipside has new songs performed live in Helsinki 1980. The Svart reissue features the original layout expanded to gatefold and featuring rare photos and news clippings.

Left for Dead staggered into the UK punk scene in 1996 performing their first gig alongside The Restarts and Hellkrusher at the Acton Arms in Hackney. Left For Dead have toured Germany, Czech Republic and the UK. Their music can best be described as old skool punk rock with a melodic but aggressive edge.
